NTPC pays in­terim div­i­dend of Rs 2,152.07 crore for FY 2016-17

NTPC has paid an in­terim div­i­dend of Rs 2,152.07 crore, be­ing 26.10% of the paid-up eq­uity share cap­i­tal of the com­pany for FY2016-17. RTGS ad­vice for trans­fer of Rs 1,500.95 crore to Government of In­dia, was pre­sented by Gur­deep Singh, CMD, NTPC Ltd to Power Min­is­ter Piyush Goyal in the pres­ence of Pradeep Ku­mar Pu­jari, Sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Power, Aniruddha Ku­mar, Joint Sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Power, K Biswal, Di­rec­tor (Fi­nance), AK Jha, Di­rec­tor (Tech­ni­cal), KK Sharma, Di­rec­tor (Op­er­a­tions), S Roy, Di­rec­tor (Hu­man Re­sources) and AK Gupta, Di­rec­tor (Com­mer­cial) from NTPC. This is the 24th con­sec­u­tive year that NTPC has paid a div­i­dend.

Na­tional HR sum­mit on trans­form­ing HR: Indian power sec­tor

“The govt from last two and half years has boosted power sec­tor by trans­parency and ef­fi­ciency, higher distribution net­work and qual­ity and eco­nom­i­cal sup­ply. To sup­port this changes, proper HR pol­icy needs to be im­proved to meet the hu­man cap­i­tal, tech­no­log­i­cal ad­vance­ments and at­trac­tive em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties,” said Pradeep Ku­mar Pu­jari, Sec­re­tary, Min­istry of Power, Govt of In­dia.
