NTPC signs MoU for con­di­tion as­sess­ment of struc­tures

An MOU was signed be­tween NTPC and CSIR-SERC-Chen­nai for Con­di­tion As­sess­ment of Con­crete and Steel Struc­ture by ED (OS) and Di­rec­tor of CSIR-SERC-Chen­nai on be­half of CSIR. As per the MoU, NTPC sta­tions (old/new) can di­rectly avail ser­vices of the CSIR_SERC for pre­lim­i­nary con­di­tion as­sess­ment of con­crete and steel struc­tures or for any other need-based emer­gency ser­vice.

NTPC-NETRA ven­dor meet 2017: NTPC NETRA C&M department or­gan­ised its first-ever ven­dor meet which was at­tended by over 200 ven­dors. The meet was in­au­gu­rated by AK Jha, Di­rec­tor (T),A K Sinha, ED (Engg), T R Dutta and ED (CC&M), R K Sri­vas­tava, ED (NETRA) who shared their views and gave in­for­ma­tion about NETRA’s fu­ture plans in re­search and devel­op­ment on the oc­ca­sion. NTPC is now a 50498 MW com­pany: NTPC joined the top league of elec­tric­ity gen­er­a­tors glob­ally by cross­ing the 50 GW ca­pac­ity mark, to­wards re­al­is­ing In­dia’s dream for 24x7 af­ford­able en­vi­ron­ment friendly Power for All. With com­mis­sion­ing of 500 MW unit at Un­cha­har in Ut­tar Pradesh, the to­tal in­stalled ca­pac­ity of NTPC has risen to 50498 MW.
