Design Studio has completed over 500 projects ranging from public and commercial use, to luxury and social housing projects. Founded by Architect Manoj Sheth in 1980 and headed by Architect Ruchirsheth, each of itsprojects represents a very personal and expressive vision on architecture and planning. The company’s hallmark is to provide their clients with the best service achievable, not only from a design perspective, but also in ensuring client involvement to ensure their satisfaction and gain their loyalty. The design and management of projects, regardless of scale, complexity or building typology is approached on the same basis, with the core values of simplicity, efficiency and legibility being

its driving force. Understanding what’s important to their clients is the foundation of everything the company does. One of the best projects emerging from Design Studio is Edgewater Weekend Homes And Resort, an alluring piece of architecture covering only 38% of the vast expanse of lush green wilderness. The concept was to create meticulous planning that is embraced by nature from all directions creating an abode of beauty and serenity. The vision was to design a marvel carved in concrete with a soul by creating 70% of verdant landscape with manicured garden space and ponds while respectingthe natural flow of the river at the edge of the site. Replete with the latest technology and unique services, this design is an innovation with a combination of sustainable energy and opulence. The thought was to create a resort style ambience with the exclusive extravagance of super luxury villas and condominiums. With serene water bodies in the backyard, the project offers contemporary living with classic modern amenities like a luxurious clubhouse, forest spa and salon, river-facing pool with business lounge, drive-through convenience store and resort access with a restaurant and garden by the riverside. The project has been thoughtfully planned keeping in mind the atmosphere, environment and temperature levels. The energy consumption is low and the temperature at least 6 degrees lower. With increasing paucity of water due to ground water pumping, the location of the project at the Umeta dam catchment area is beneficial, as the water tables do not subside.

“As architects we must utilise our imagination in designing buildings which can improve the quality of life around. it is not always the beauty of the building that matters, it is more about how it works and how one feels in and around it.” ar. Ruchir sheth, founder design studio
