I’m 22 and in pretty good shape, but feel my arms could do with some toning. What would you recommend?

Begin with planks. Also do a few repetitions of bhujangasana and pawanmuktasana. Plus, flex your biceps with empty hands at regular intervals to achieve slender arms.
I’m overweight. However, I love eating potatoes even though I know they’re not good for me. How do I control my cravings?

When preparing your meal, combine potatoes with a lot of other vegetables to create a balance. Reduce the quantity of potatoes by 1/4 and increase the quantity of other veggies. Consuming a consistent amount of cereals along with potatoes will work very well. Try to eat dinner early so that the food digests properly. My father recently had a check-up which revealed high cholesterol levels. I’m worried because he has completely ignored the doctor’s advice to exercise regularly. Rather than nagging him to do so, I want to show him that exercise doesn’t have to be a chore and help him find the motivation to do it on his own. Any suggestions?

I suggest he walks for about ½ km at normal speed. He can also try yoga like the cobra pose and then move into the mountain position. He should eat dinner by 7 p.m, and his diet should include lots of salad, fruits, dry fruits and wholesome snacks like jowar-bajra chikki and khakra.
