Balancing Act

Chennai’s top league architect, builder, art curator and inveterate research scholar Krithika Subramanian is a master of all she does!

Savvy - - Super Woman - By CSS Latha

Krithika owns and spearheads one of Chennai’s leading architectural design firms, Transform, and Code, a designer construction company. Her firm Transform has completed more than 1,000 projects in the past two decades. As a designer, Krithika’s association with all aesthetic art forms has been a long one.

“I remain calm in crisis situations.”

Also a classical dance exponent, Krithika re-launched herself on the stage five years ago after a long gap, and floated her own dance company called the Na Maargam Dance Company.

But that’s not all. There’s more to the vivacious lady. She’s also the owner and designer of Svatma, Tamil Nadu’s only luxury boutique hotel. Her enterprising ventures apart, Krithika also speaks at international conferences on architecture, culture and fine arts, and is also the hospitality designer for prestigious properties in India and overseas.

Multi-talented to the core, here’s a lady unafraid of taking risks and passionate about everything she does. So, what keeps this super woman ticking? Unravelling her life and work philosophies...

MY TOUGHEST CHALLENGE:

“Has been balancing my corporate profile as a consultant and my role in the family - without compromising on either.”

MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT:

“Has been bringing up a well-rounded and confident young man, my son Sriram, while germinating start-ups and creating brands.”

WHAT MAKES ME A SUPER WOMAN:

“Discipline, dedication, pursuit of perfection and the ability to take risks.”

MY SUCCESS MANTRAS:

“I remain calm in crisis situations. I also know how to prioritise tasks, which is a good method to become successful.”
