New Shoes in Town
From scandalous shoes to some of the sought after, we have listed some labels that have caught the attention.
Sustainable shoes by Yatay: “Making sustainability cool” is the last purpose of Umberto De Marco, the founder of the label Land Rover & Clarks: The storied British automaker recently joined forces with Clarks to create a footwear collaboration called Life. All three of the styles in the new collab boast GORE-TEX waterproof membranes to battle winter weather.
Gucci’s distressed sneakers: Gucci’s cruise ’19 collection features a pair of predistressed sneakers that recently drove the internet wild. After images of the footwear began to circulate across the internet, Twitter users poked fun at the luxe kicks. Distressed shoe by Golden goose: Social media users were outraged after spotting a pair of Golden Goose sneakers made to look as if they are taped across the toe and heel, accused the luxury Italian fashion brand of glorifying poverty.
The return of Asics GelKayano 5: It’s a reissue of the original Gel-kayano 5, a stability trainer that Asics debuted in 1999 and the fifth in the company’s iconic Gel-kayano line. Before minimalism, running shoes bore their techy features externally for the world to see, and so the Gel-kayano 5 OG is a proverbial time capsule for runners who remember the chunkier times. Dr Martens turns festive: Dipped in a Christmassy, cherry red hue, the high-top shoes see the classic Dr. Martens boot design with eight eyes, grooved sides, a heel-loop and the unmissable yellow stitching – all rounded off by an air-cushioned sole. To complement the lush, burgundy velvet uppers, the boots are designed with color-matching, satin ribbon laces.
New Balance Golf 2019 Women’s Footwear: New Balance Golf has introduced a new line of footwear for women for the 2019 season. The line offers three new styles for women. The women’s line features lightweight, athletic-style spikeless shoes designed to provide golfers the perfect fit, comfort and maximum performance. Puma and Karl: Known for his iconic aesthetic, fabulous catwalk creations and creative direction, Karl Lagerfeld may not be a name you’d associate with street style. But the fashion designer has just collaborated with Puma on an inaugural capsule collection of sportswear for men and women.
