Satavisa is a teacher from Sodepur, near Kolkata. “Travelling to wild locations and unknown destinations excite me. Photographing wildlife and birds has allowed me to come close to nature and feel the thrill that nature often unfolds. I have been into bird and wildlife photography since 2016. I initiated photography with a Nikon D7100 and currently, I am using a Nikon D500. I have been to several National Parks and wetlands of our country like Ranthambore, Corbett, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Sariska, Bharatpur, Manglajodi, Nalsarovar, Little Rann of Kutch, Dandeli etc. It is a great joy for me to photograph the animals and their behaviours, in their natural habitat. As a teacher, I try to increase the love, compassion, consciousness and awareness among my students regarding their immediate ecology and the wildlife of India.” says Satavisa.
