Christy Lee Rogers is known for her obsession with water as an artistic source, and for breaking the conventions of contemporary photography with her use of it. For over a decade her work has been compared to Baroque painting masters like Caravaggio, with her use of chiaroscuro lighting and dramatic movement. The constant theme and the purpose behind her work is to question and ind understanding in the craziness, tragedy, vulnerability, beauty and power of mankind.
