RAM and two NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD slots — one Gen3 and the second Gen4. We received the Full HD Touchscreen model with the discrete graphic card, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, and this review is based on the performance of this device.
The device offers two USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports with power delivery, two Type-A USB3.2 Gen2 ports, one HDMI port (4K@60Hz), one MicroSD slot and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. The laptop offers 802.11 ax Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 for communication. It is powered by a four-cell 82 Wh battery that ensures enough power to sustain your daily creative use. The supplied 90W adaptor tops up the battery quite fast. The MSI Center for Business and Productivity allows you to customise the performance of the device.
Ergonomics
The laptop offers enterprise-grade security and features Windows Hello face and ϐingerprint unlock. Though the 720p IR webcam does not feature a physical shutter, a status LED lets you know if the camera is on. The 180-degree ϐlexibility allows you to share your business ideas and projects with a client or business partner across the table. With touchscreen, this offers the functionality of a two-in-one, though in a limited way. At the press of the function key F12, you can ϐlip the display so that your partner can view the screen across the table without the need to rotate the laptop. The large keyboard has a comfortable 1.5 mm key travel and offers white backlighting. The touch pad is also large and comfortable to use.
Performance
Since the Summit series is not meant for gaming, we did not put it through any intense gaming sessions. However, the laptop offered ϐlawless performance throughout our professional use including photo and video editing as well as web conferences. We never faced any heating issues either while using or charging the device. The device is High-res Audio ready, but the audio output from the speakers could have been slightly louder since most of the laptops today offer great sound even with native speakers.
Value for Money
The MSI Summit E15 with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti (MaxQ version) graphic card we reviewed here retails at Rs. 1,79,990. This price is quite competitive for a laptop with the latest features and hardware.
