Fujifilm Launches Range of Lenses
Fujiflm has announced the launch of three new lenses i.e. the GF35-70 mm f/4.5-5.6 WR, XF23 mm f/1.4 R LM WR and the XF33 mm f/1.4 R LM WR.
The GF35-70 mm is an interchangeable lens for large-format cameras. It is a compact and lightweight zoom lens, weighing approximately 390 g, with a focal length range covering 35 mm in wide angle to 70 mm (equivalent to 28 mm – 55 mm in the 35 mm film format). It has a filter thread size of 62 mm and a stepping motor for silent, fast and accurate AF performance. The retractable barrel structure reduces the length to approximately 73.9 mm when fully collapsed. The lens offers the minimum working distance of 35 cm across its zoom range, has a dust and moistureresistant construction and can operate at temperatures as low as -10 °C. It will be available for purchase in November 2021 at a price of USD 999.
The XF23 mm f/1.4 is a new-generation prime lens with a wide focal length of 23 mm (equivalent to 35 mm in the 35 mm film format). It uses nine aperture blades to create a round shape bokeh effect even around the maximum aperture. The lens features a fast and accurate AF in compact, lightweight and ruggedised construction. It uses a linear motor to attain focus in as fast as 0.04 seconds. It weighs approximately 375 g and measures 77.8 mm long with the filter thread size of 58 mm. It comes with a dust and moisture-resistant construction and can operate at temperatures as low as -10 °C. It will be available for purchase in November, 2021 at a price of USD 899.
The XF33 mm f/1.4 is a standard prime lens with the focal length equivalent to 50 mm in the 35 mm film format. According to Fujifilm, this lens has been designed to support camera sensors of even greater resolution to be developed in the future. It is equipped with a silent, fast and accurate AF system driven by a linear motor. The lens features a ruggedised dust and moisture-resistant design, weighs approximately 360 g, measures 73.5 mm in length and has a 58 mm filter thread. The XF33 mm f/1.4 is available for purchase (from late September) at a price of USD 799.
