Fujifilm Unveils HF-XA-1F Lens Series
Fujifilm has introduced the Fujinon HF-XA-1F series of heavy-duty lenses, specially designed for demanding applications that require a highresistance to shocks and vibrations.
The new series is developed for image sensor sizes from 2/3” to 1/1.2” and resolutions up to 5MP resulting in 3.45μm pixel sizes.
“The Fujinon HF-XA series has already experienced much success in a variety of machine vision applications including robotics applications,” said Eugene Dyas, territory manager for Fujifilm North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division.
The optical performance of the new series is identical to the Fujinon HF-XA5M series, with focal lengths ranging from 8 mm to 35 mm. According to reports, the image quality remains consistent regardless of the object distance. The series features Fujifilm’s Anti Shock and Vibration technology and comes with a rugged mechanical design with no moving parts inside the lens. It comes with a C-mount thread and three exchangeable fixed iris plates (open, f/4 and f/8). Fujifilm reports that the lens can withstand forces up to 10G in six directions, making it ideal for imaging in tough environments or moving systems such as 3D/Stereoscopy or robotics applications. The range includes five models with 8 mm to 35 mm focal lengths viz. HF8XA-1F (8 mm, f/1.6, f/4, f/8), HF12XA-1F (12 mm, f/1.6, f/4, f/8), HF16XA-1F (16 mm, f/1.6, f/4, f/8), HF25XA-1F (25 mm, f/1.6, f/4.6, f/9.2) and HF35XA-1F (35 mm, f/1.9, f/5.2, f/10.4). The Fujinon HF-XA-1F series is available currently available for purchase via Fujifilm online store.
