Tokina to Begin Sale of SZ Super Tele Lens

Tokina has announced the sale of the SZ Super Tele 500 mm f/8 Reflex MF lens. The manual lens adopts catadioptric type optical design with a constant f/8 aperture. It offers a compact alternative to standard tele photo lenses and is designed as a lightweight mirror lens. The lens is made up of 7 elements in 7 groups, has a minimum focussing distance of 1.7 m, measures 74 mm in diameter, 89 mm in length and weighs 310 g. It adopts a T-mount standard that allows the lens to be attached to any camera. Other key features include macro shooting with 1 : 2.86 magnification, donut-shaped and smooth bokeh, super compression effect and versatile mount system for 6 camera mounts including 4 mounts for mirrorless cameras. According to their official website, sales will commence on February 18, 2022, however, no pricing related information has been shared by the company.
