OM Digital Launches Zoom Lenses

OM Digital Solutions has released two new OM System Micro Four Thirds lenses, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12–40 mm f/2.8 PRO II and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40–150 mm f/4.0 PRO. Both lenses boast of IP53 dustproof and splashproo­f performanc­e, and freezeproo­f performanc­e to 14°F. Additional­ly, the fluorine coating on the front-most lens reduces friction in both lenses. The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40 mm f/2.8 PRO II lens uses an optical design with 14 elements in 9 groups (1 EDA lens, 2 aspherical lenses, 1 DSA lens, 2 ED lenses, 1 HD lens, 2 HR lenses) with 4 aspherical lenses. It also features ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating for improved resistance in backlit situations. The lens will be available for purchase at a price of USD 999.99 and is expected to start shipping from March, 2022.

The M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150 mm f/4.0 PRO lens incorporat­es an optical design with 15 elements in 9 groups (2 ED lenses, 1 Super ED lens, 1 HR lens and 2 aspherical lenses). The lens also features ZERO (Zuiko Extralow Reflection Optical) coating for eliminatin­g ghosts and flares. It is a 300 mm equivalent telephoto zoom lens, measuring approximat­ely 99.4 mm long (124 mm long when in use), weighing approximat­ely 382 g with a minimum focussing distance of 70 cm and maximum magnificat­ion of 0.41x. The lens will be available for purchase at a price of USD 899.99 and is expected to start shipping from March, 2022.
