MS Optics Creates Handcrafted Lens

MS Optics has released its latest hand-crafted lens, the Sonnetar 50 mm f/1.3 for Leica M-mount cameras. The lens features a Sonnar optical design that includes 5 elements in 4 groups.

These elements are multi-coated and are reported to offer 97% light transmission. The lens has a 14-blade aperture diaphragm, an aperture range of f/1.3 to f/16 and offers a minimum focussing distance of 80 cm.

This lens sports a compact body design, measures 49 mm in diameter, 36 mm in length and weighs 143 g (when the lens hood is attached). The MS Optics Sonnetar 50 mm f/1.3 lens for Leica M-mount cameras is available for purchase at a price of JPY 1,15,900 (approx. INR 70,000).
