Cosina Unveils Aspherical Lens
Cosina has announced the upcoming release of Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35 mm f/2 Aspherical lens for Nikon Z-mount cameras. This lens has a full-size image circle and can be used with both full-size (Nikon FX format) mirrorless cameras and APS-C size (Nikon DX format) mirrorless cameras.
An electronic contact is mounted on the lens mount to realise communications between the lens and the body. By combining a body compatible with telecommunications and the latest firmware, in addition to Exif information and in-body image stabilisation (3 axes), 3 types of focussing support functions (focussing by changing the focus point frame colour, focussing by peaking and focussing with the enlargement button) are supported.
The optical design of this manual lens consists of 11 elements in 9 groups, including 5 low-dispersion elements and 2 doublesided aspherical elements. The lens weighs 360 g, comes with a 12-blade aperture diaphragm, has a front filter thread of 52 mm, a minimum focussing distance of 35 cm and an aperture range of f/2 through f/16.
The Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35 mm f/2 Aspherical lens for Nikon Z-mount cameras is scheduled to release in June 2022 at a price of JPY 120,000 (approx. INR 73,000).
Viltrox has announced a limited-edition set of its 23 mm, 33 mm and 56 mm f/1.4 primes for Fujifilm X-mount cameras in matte white colour.
These new lenses are similar to their counterparts in terms of features and specifications, other than the body colour (entirely matte white), the dark grey markings for the aperture ring, lens markings and company brand name.
Considering that this is a limited-edition version, the company says that it is releasing only 500 pieces of these lenses (available individually as well as a kit). The matte white version of the 23 mm, 33 mm and 56 mm f/1.4 XF lenses are available for purchase at a price of USD 379 (approx. INR 29,400), USD 329 (approx. INR 25,500) and USD 379 (approx. INR 29,400), respectively.
