Viltrox Displays APS-C Prime Lens

Viltrox has announced a crowdfunding campaign for its new APS-C Prime Lens.

The lens offers a full-frame equivalent 20 mm focal length and is constructed of 14 elements in 11 groups, including 2 aspherical elements, 4 extra-low dispersion (ED) elements and 2 high-refractive index elements. The lens’ internal focussing unit is driven by a stepping motor and it uses a 9-blade aperture diaphragm, a 67 mm front filter thread and has a minimum focussing distance of 22 cm.

The lens body is constructed of metal and the lens boasts dustproof seals throughout the body. It measures 74 mm in diameter, 90 mm in length and weighs 420 g (E-mount) and 455 g (Z-mount). The lens is expected to start shipping in July 2022 and can be booked via its Indigogo campaign page.
