Sony Unfurls Wide-Angle APS-C Lenses

Sony has expanded its E-mount lens lineup, bringing the total number up to 70, with the introducti­on of the power zoom G lens E PZ 10-20 mm f/4 G, G lens E 15 mm f/1.4 G and the ultra-wide prime E 11 mm f/1.8.

The E PZ 10-20 mm f/4 G contain three aspherical elements, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and one ED aspherical element. It has a circular aperture, a minimum autofocus distance of 0.2 m with a maximum magnificat­ion of 0.14x and a minimum manual focus distance of 0.13 to 0.17 m with a maximum magnificat­ion of 0.18x. The lens weighs 178 g.

The E 15 mm f/1.4 G lens contains three aspherical elements, one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element and one Super ED glass element. It has a minimum focussing distance of 0.17 m and maximum magnificat­ion of 0.15x when manual focus is used. The lens weighs 219 g and measures 66.6 mm in diameter and 69.5 mm in length.

The E 11 mm f/1.8 comes with three aspherical elements and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements. It has a minimum focussing distance of 0.12 m and maximum magnificat­ion of 0.2x. It weighs 181 g and measures 66 mm in diameter and 57.5 mm in length. The lens is dust and moisture resistant. It also offers intuitive control with features such as a focus hold button and focus mode switch.
