Ilove to read murder mysteries, so it was a delight to know that one such promising novel had hit the book stores recently. Race Course Road is a gripping novel about the repercussions of the assassination of a sitting prime minister of India. As I started reading the book, I realised it was not just a murder mystery, it went beyond it. It brings to life the way our politics and politicians work. Written dexterously by celebrated columnist, Seema Goswami, it portrays a vivid picture of people and happenings. Seema’s eye for detail and her observant nature is quite evident in the way she has crafted living space and the characters of her novel. Race Course Road has all the elements that can make a blockbuster movie.
