How would you define your personal style?

Comfortable. Skirts, jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, and heels—anything that makes me feel happy and confident.

What is that one piece in your wardrobe that you could refer to as ‘timeless’ in fashion?

A white shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

A fashion fetish you have…

Anything in black.

How would you dress up for a monsoon brunch party?

Something easypeasy. A dress with gumboots or jeans, white shirt with gumboots.

What’s your ideal outfit for a date night?

Ideal outfit for a date will be a dress or jeans and t-shirt with sneakers. Definitely sneakers.

Are you brand conscious?

I am not brand conscious.

How do you like to play with colours in your style?

I prefer black and jewel tones but after Veere Di Wedding and thanks to Rhea Kapoor, I have started experimenting with all the colours available on the colour palette.

What according to you would be the ideal attire for a wedding?

An ideal attire for a wedding will be a saree, without a doubt! It’s a timeless attire. I like old school stuff and would go for classic sarees like a Banarasi or Chanderi. For occasions like weddings, they are perfect and makes you look very elegant and classy.

Who is your style icon?

I look up to a lot of women when it comes to style. Ashley Graham, Sophia Loren, Rhea Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore and my mother.

A fashion designer you would choose for your personal wardrobe. And why?

One designer that I would choose for my personal wardrobe would be Abu (Jani) Sandeep (Khosla) because they are fantastic, timeless and have great size selection.

What would one generally find you wearing at home?

One would generally find me wearing my old t-shirts with a pair of shorts at home.

What are the five must-haves in a woman’s wardrobe?

Good lingerie–one should invest in good fitting lingerie in basic colours like white and beige, pair of jeans, a black shirt, a good swimsuit, simple and basic lucknowi kurta and definitely comfortable pyjamas.

Your favourite shopping destination?

My favourite shopping destination is Colaba Causeway.

Fashion capital of the world according to you?
