BVC Logistics Expands Services
As part of its new brand identity, BVC Logistics, a leading player in providing logistics solutions to the gem and jewellery sector, showcased its new logo at the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) 2013 in Mumbai. The unveiling of the new logo also marks BVC’s ingress into the general cargo domain for air and ocean international transportation.
This announcement comes at a time when the company is focusing on increasing its outreach and garnering a wider customer base. BVC Logistics’ expansion plans include opening around 25 new branches across India by the end of scal year 201 .
The growth strategy will also encompass boosting its workforce and increasing its eet of vehicles specialised to cater to the diamond and jewellery and luxury sector by 70 vehicles.
BVC Logistics director Bhavik Chinai said, “BVC has been catering to the niche sector for over ve decades and therefore making inroads into luxury and air logistics is an important part of our brand diversi cation and the next step in the expansion process. BVC plans to gain substantial traction and grow in the next 2-3 years to become a major player in the logistics market. Currently BVC Logistics delivers to over 120 cities pan-India with 16 branch of ces nationwide and has a eet si e of over 50 armoured vehicles with state-of-the-art technology. The company currently handles over 5 of India’s international trade of gems and jewellery.
BVC had recently entered into a strategic alliance with Brinks India to provide a seamless service throughout India and globally. BVC Logistics will now handle the pan-India diamond and jewellery export and import of Brinks India, making it the largest diamond and jewellery supply chain management company in the country.
