At­tracts Buy­ers From New Mar­kets

he Gold/Italy event held from Oc­to­ber 25-27 show­cased Made in Italy jew­ellery, gold and bi­joux at the Arezzo Fiere e Con­gressi con­ven­tion cen­tre, Arezzo, Italy.

The show, which served as an av­enue to bridge sup­ply and de­mand, had 220 ex­hibit­ing com­pa­nies from the main Ital­ian gold dis­tricts. They met buy­ers, whole­salers, re­tail­ers, chain stores, im­porters and ex­porters from Italy and over 50 other coun­tries, in­clud­ing first­time vis­i­tors from Kyr­gyzs­tan, Kaza­khstan, Ta­jik­istan and other states. This was made pos­si­ble due to the par­tic­i­pa­tion of Re­gione Toscana and Toscana Pro­mozione, the Arezzo Cham­ber of Com­merce and ITA– Ital­ian Trade Agency for the pro­mo­tion of Ital­ian com­pa­nies abroad and their in­ter­na­tion­al­i­sa­tion.

An­drea Boldi, pres­i­dent of Arezzo Fiere e Con­gressi, and Beppe An­gi­olini artis­tic di­rec­tor, were present at the open­ing cer­e­mony that was a small af­fair, thus stress­ing the spirit of prac­ti­cal­ity which de­fines the essence of this show.

“In a mar­ket where the dy­nam­ics are be­com­ing in­creas­ingly com­plex at a global level,” said Boldi, “it is es­sen­tial to fo­cus on the only ob­jec­tive that re­ally counts: cre­at­ing the con­di­tions so that ex­hibit­ing com­pa­nies can ap­proach mar­kets, both tra­di­tional and new, by in­ter­cept­ing changes in de­mand and favour­ing con­tact be­tween those who sell and those who buy. I be­lieve that this is the main func­tion of a trade fair and with Arezzo Fiere e Con­gressi, we in­tend to con­stantly strengthen this com­mit­ment.”

From this edi­tion, the Arezzo Fiere e Con­gressi pro­posed two new projects aimed at cre­at­ing a con­ducive at­mos­phere to con­duct business. One was the ex­clu­sive ‘meet­ing club’ for 240 top buy­ers from 50 dif­fer­ent coun­tries to pre­view prod­ucts and company pro­files be­fore set­ting up the meet­ings.

The sec­ond project in­tro­duced at the show was the “Re­tail Italy Project” de­vised and sup­ported by Arezzo Fiere e Con­gressi to fur­ther en­hance business prospects of ex­hibitors. Over 160 se­lected re­tail­ers were in­vited to visit the fair and meet the par­tic­i­pat­ing com­pa­nies. The project will con­tinue post the show all through­out the year in or­der to pro­vide, fa­cil­i­tate and as­sist buy­ers and ex­hibitors to strengthen business ties.
