Pankaj Chetan, founder and CEO of ilove­di­a­ Pankaj Chetan, a third­gen­er­a­tion jeweller and an in­ter­na­tion­ally cer­ti­fied gem­mol­o­gist, along with Gu­lan Chetan launched a new e-com­merce jew­ellery por­tal www.ilove­di­a­monds. com. The web­site, which is ded­i­cated to di­a­mond jew­ellery, of­fers stylish de­signs start­ing at I4,100.

Com­ment­ing on the launch, Pankaj Chetan said, “We are very ex­cited and thrilled to launch ilove­di­a­ Our ob­jec­tive was to set up an omni-chan­nel brand that would de­light our cus­tomers with world-class di­a­mond jew­ellery de­signs that will help them keep pace with trends world-over. Our vi­sion is to make sure that ev­ery In­dian woman owns a piece of di­a­mond jew­ellery through a vast se­lec­tion, low prices and con­ve­nient and trust­wor­thy shop­ping ex­pe­ri­ence at ilove­di­a­ We will strive to reach out to In­dian cus­tomers, es­pe­cially those who are first-time jew­ellery buy­ers.”

Pankaj utilised his own funds as seed cap­i­tal to cre­ate the tech­nol­ogy, prod­uct base, and also in­vested in set­ting up three trust stores – a flag­ship store in Ban­ga­lore, and two oth­ers in Chennai and Coim­bat­ore, re­spec­tively. The com­pany plans to ex­pand to 25 ci­ties in the near fu­ture.

In ad­di­tion, funds raised from an an­gel in­vestor is be­ing used to ex­pand the busi­ness and pen­e­trate the mar­ket, of which, in­vest­ments made to the tune of $1 mil­lion have been al­lo­cated for the brand launch and mar­ket­ing cam­paign.

The Ban­ga­lore­head­quar­tered brand will fo­cus on cre­at­ing light­weight jew­ellery and main­tain­ing a fine bal­ance be­tween re-de­sign­ing and col­lud­ing clas­sic mo­tifs with in­ter­est­ing gem­stones and con­tem­po­rary de­signs for the mod­ern, youn­gat-heart, in­de­pen­dent woman.
