GJSCI Holds Workshop On International Yoga Day
The Gems & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) conducted its second annual one-week yoga workshop with an aim to create awareness among SEEPZ employees about the benefits of yoga during the International Yoga Day.
The workshop was inaugurated on June 21st in the presence of Pravin Chandra, joint development commissioner, Mahesh Yadav, deputy development commissioner, Premkumar Kothari, chairman of GJSCI, and Binit Bhatt, chief executive officer of GJSCI, and continued for four days under the expert supervision of Isha Yoga Foundation.
The activity saw a gathering of more than 1,500 from the gems and jewellery industry. This initiative of GJSCI aims to educate people about benefits of yoga and encourage them to make it a part of life. United Nations had declared June 21st as International Yoga Day in 2014 with the aim of promoting its multiple benefits on a global scale.
“Yoga is an eternal blessing from our ancestors which dates back to over 5,000 years. This is our second annual one-week workshop and we are delighted to see the number of attendees only increasing. With this workshop, we aim to contribute a drop in the ocean and encourage people to understand the significance of yoga and inculcate it in their daily lives,” said Binit Bhatt.
