The Jewellery Intensive – A Jewellery-focused Travel Experience
Questerra, an experiential travel platform, has initiated a 15-day programme called The Jewellery Intensive to help participants learn the intricacies of the jewellery industry. Scheduled in the second half of August 2018, the jewellery expedition will span three cities – Jaipur, Mumbai and London – and will be curated by journalist Preeta Agarwal and mentored by jewellery blogger and social media expert, Katerina Perez, founder & editor-in-chief of www.katerinaperez.com.
The core of The Jewellery Intensive is experiential learning from industry stalwarts, senior mentors and seasoned professionals. It covers three basic pillars of the jewellery industry – tradition, trade and design – including everything from jewellery design to trends, traditional jewellery making techniques to modern jewellery trade, from effects of social media to PR.
Activities will include visits to museums like Gyan Museum, Amrapali Museum, V&A Museum London, and exhibitions displaying British royal family jewels and more. The itinerary will cover jewellery factories and workshops in India and London. The intrepid jewellery enthusiasts will also get to interact (in person and through video conference) with industry leaders like Farah Khan, Tarang Arora of Amrapali, Sunita Shekhawat, Poonam Soni, Anand Shah and Nirupa Bhatt of GIA.
The Jewellery Intensive is targeted at anyone passionate about jewellery, including jewellery design students/ professionals, merchandisers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, retailers, and diamond & gemstone dealers.
