David Warner scored an attacking half-century (53, 38 balls) in the T20 World Cup final in Dubai. He added 92 runs for the second wicket with Mitchell Marsh (77 not out, 50 balls) as Australia trotted home with seven balls to spare. For Warner, the tournament was redemption after his poor run of form and peculiar treatment by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL. Two hundred and eighty-nine runs in seven innings meant he won the Player of the Series award.
