West Indies clinches Botham-richards Trophy
West Indies secured the Botham-richards Trophy with a 10wicket victory over England in the third and deciding Test of the series in Grenada. After England was bowled out for 120 in the second innings, WI had a token target of 2■ for victory. The host reached it without loss, captain Kraigg Brathwaite hitting the winning runs to seal a 1-0 series triumph. West Indies medium-pacer Kyle Mayers had an incredible spell of 5-1■ from 17 overs.
West Indies had a 93-run lead on the first innings after making England bat. England scored 204 and 120, and West Indies 297 and 2■-0.
The first two tests were drawn on flat pitches in Antigua and Barbados. England has only one series win in the West Indies in the past half-century, a 3-0 victory in 2003-04.
