Real Madrid wins Super Cup

Real Madrid won the UEFA Super Cup for the fifth time, defeating Eintracht Frankfurt in the final in Helsinki on August 10. David Alaba and Karim Benzema scored either side of half-time.

AC Milan and Barcelona are the other clubs to possess five titles. No other club has more.

Benzema’s strike in the 65th minute made him the second-highest goal-scorer for Real, taking him past Raul (323 goals). Only Cristiano Ronaldo has more goals (450).
