A FIRST FOR ENGLAND
2010: England v Australia, Bridgetown
Eoin Morgan may have revolutionised England’s white-ball cricket, but a less flamboyant Paul Collingwood led the country to its first global title before the former took over as captain. Fittingly, it was Collingwood who scored the winning runs in the final against familiar opponent, Australia, which could only make 147 for six. Interestingly, Morgan was at the non-striking end. But the job had nearly been accomplished by opener Craig Kieswetter, who hit a 49-ball 63 and added 111 for the second-wicket with fellow South-african born Kevin Pietersen (47, 31b).
