After failing to open his account in the first two matches of the series, Rilee Rossouw turned his fortunes around with a 48-ball hundred, his first in T20I cricket. Rossouw and Quinton de Kock (68, 43b 6x4, 4x6) floored the Indian attack with a 90-run second wicket partnership off 48 balls before a late surge by Tristan Stubbs (23, 18b, 2x4, 1x6) and David Miller (19 not out, 5b, 3x6) propelled South Africa to 227 for three, its fourth-highest total in T20IS.
