Khanduri has assumed command as GOC-in-C of the Western Command on November 1, 2021. He is the first officer from the Army Air Defence to be elevated to the rank of Army Commander. Earlier, Lt General Khanduri served as the GOC 33 Corps in the North-East and as DirectorGeneral of Operational Logistics and Strategic Management, at Army Headquarters. Commissioned in December 1983, he is an alumnus of the Rashtriya Indian Military College and the National Defence Academy.
