I really adore your style of filmmaking. Were you tempted to use the typical ‘Shah-Rukh-Khan-ness’ that the audience has been used to for 25 years in your recent film JabHarryMetSejal ? — Sienna Roy (Chennai)
I’ve seen many of his films. I admire him both as a person and the actor that he is. I was very much aware of the typical Shah-Rukh-Khan-ness when I went to shoot. But when I was working, I realized that this ‘Shah-Rukh-Khan-ness’ that everybody is head over heels is a by-product of Shah Rukh itself and it’s unnecessarily stupid to tell him to not be himself. You have given a great performance in InduSarkar and to my knowledge, you also hold a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication, do you look at writing (scripts) as an option in the future? — Christine Perera (Goa)
People do suggest to me to write at times, in terms of the understanding I portray when it comes to my characters. I don’t know, maybe I will sometime in the future. But it’s not really on my mind right now, So I haven’t thought about it. I am best at acting and I think that’s my biggest strength right now and I should stick to that for a while.
