The actor who holds the Limca Book of Records for her movie YehDoooriya, is now trying her luck in singing. Read on as she talks to Shivani Bisht about her foray into singing and her upcoming movie TeriBhabhiHaiPagle.

We believe that you have also forayed into singing, tell us a bit about that… Yes, I have sung two songs. The song which we have recreated is yet to be released. Singing has always been my passion and I always wanted to be a singer but by default, I became an actor. I have not had any training, it is more like my hobby and passion. Singing makes me feel good and I heard my song I felt that God has been kind to me. It sounded so good. I was very excited and I still am. (Laughs)

Tell us about your upcoming film TeriBhabhiHai Pagle?

It’s a comedy film co-starring Rajneesh Duggal, Mukul Dev, Krushna Abhishek and I enjoyed working with all of them. Also, I love to do comedy since people have seen me doing more of negative roles.

It was last in 2015 you were seen and it’s now 2018. Why haven’t we seen you on the big screen earlier?

I believe our film industry is very shallow and they just typecast you. I was doing TV shows back then and then directed a film Yeh Dooriyan that’s when people assumed that I didn’t want to act anymore as I was producing and directing films. There was a time when I wasn’t being offered any films and I didn’t do anything for a year. But now I am lucky to have bounced back with some good projects.
