You recently won the ‘Excellence award in the field of business’ at The Stardust Achievers Awards in London. What do you have to say about that?

I am not only honoured but also thankful for the award. It felt great to be part of the event.

An entrepreneur and philanthropist… How would you want to describe yourself?

Definitely, an entrepreneur and businessman! I was involved in my family business from a very early age and together, that is, with my family and team, we have grown multifold.

How did you start your journey?

I started my journey at a relatively early age. It was almost a compulsion to start early in order to understand the business and then grow it. At the age of 31, I set out to independently develop our international business. And today, we are present in over 80 countries across the world.

Please tell us briefly about your work.

We are one of India’s leading companies in the electrical sector, particularly in the cables and wires market. Besides that, our product portfolio also includes Consumer Durables, Electromechanical Parking Systems, Earthing Accessories, Busducts, Copper tubes to name a few. RR Kabel is the only cable and wires company from India that has maximum international certifications allowing us to operate globally. We were also the first Indian company to introduce and develop the technology of Car Parking Systems with our brand RR Parkon, which has subsequently grown beyond the borders of India to Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Africa. We

started out as a trading house back in the ‘80s and in about three decades, we are now present across 80 countries with a turnover of over USD 650 Millions. Safe to say, things have been pretty good, however we are only just getting started.

How do you see the present status of the Cables and Wires industry?

This sector as a whole has been doing tremendously well. With the implementatition of GST, even the impact of the rogue players has been reduced and in some cases, eliminated. This means, the customer can sleep peacefully knowing the cables and wires in his home or workplace comes from companies who put in a lot of effort to ensure safety and quality. We expect the sector to continue growing.

What according to you ensures customer satisfaction?

A range of products with quality and affordability as its focus and excellent after sales service ensure customer satisfaction.

Your braindchild RR Kabel is one of the leading manufacturers of wires and cables globally. How does it make you feel?

Delighted, thankful but aspiring for much more.

What is your success mantra?

Keep learning. Listen to others and learn. Everyone you meet or interact with have something to teach you.

What are the three things which are most important in any business?

A fantastic relationship with your supplier, your ability to manufacture products of the highest quality, understanding the demands of the markets and of course, communicate your brand message effectively.

What has been your constant inspiration in your life?

My experiences when I travel for pleasure and my experiences while interacting with people during my

business travels. You come across such interesting people and cultures that they become the inspiration with what you need to move forward.

What are you looking forward to?

Continuing to grow multifold, increasing our international footprints and continuing to provide our customers with only the best products. Continuing to empower people, the people who work for you should do so with pleasure and not pressure. And also, continuing to focus on creating an honest brand, one that people believe in and trust.

Please give a message for the young minds who look up to achievers like you?

Believe in the power of your dreams and continue to aspire.
