LoveRatri is your debut film. How did you manage to bond with your co-star Warina Hussain? During our workshops, Warina and I became good friends and it really helped us perform our characters also because it’s not only my first film but Warina’s first film as well. And we both shared our nervousness before our shots. So that’s what really worked for us and we gelled really well.

What was your wife Arpita’s reaction when she first saw the trailer of the film?

She was very emotional and that was surprising because she has seen so many trailer launches. But this was a very special one since she has been involved in the making of LoveRatri since the beginning. So she was really very excited but more relieved, I guess, and thanked God that I have done a good job.

Ayush, your character in the film is of a Gujarati boy. Did you have to learn the language for your role?

The film is based on a festival, which is being celebrated in Gujarat. So I had to learn basic Gujarati stuff, like their accent and their way of life. A part of the shooting took place in Gujarat so we got accustomed to the food there. And yes, I know some phrases in Gujarati like Kemcho! (laughs).

Who is that one actor who you look up to in Bollywood?

I am actually a big movie buff so I have watched a lot of movies since childhood. The actors who I admire are Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir sir. And as a child, I was a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan and I still like him.
