A Country Called Childhood: A Memoir by Deepti Naval
Indian cinema during the 1980s produced some wonderful performers and the reason is that most of them are from the theatre or the school of drama. India as a country was also seeing new and novel changes in terms of fashion, lifestyle, and culture.
People with mere graduation started migrating to big places and cities, and some of them even left for other countries. While all this was happening cross-cultural media started taking center stage and thus the mythological dramas start molding into social drama and activism. Therefore, people who were in their prime time then were also a part of famous theatre schools like NSD(National School of Drama). One of the most loved, desired, and respectable women performers from that era is Ms.Deepti Naval.
