Fresh floods af­fect 1.39 lakh in As­sam

GUWAHATI: At least As­sam six dis­tricts were hit by floods as in­ces­sant rains in Arunachal Pradesh raised the wa­ter level of Brahma­pu­tra and its trib­u­taries, af­fect­ing more than one lakh peo­ple. An As­sam State Dis­as­ter Man­age­ment Au­thor­ity (ASDMA) re­port said Dhe­maji, Lakhim­pur, Biswanath, Bar­peta, Ma­juli and Di­bru­garh dis­tricts have been hit by the del­uge af­fect­ing 12 rev­enue cir­cles with 337 vil­lages.
