Coimbatore: A day after Forest department engaged two Kumki elephants to drive away wild tuskers - Vinayaga and Chinna Thambi - damaging crops near Chinna Thadagam, walls of villages sported posters of an elephant spraying sand on itself. This clarion call to save the jumbos came from the tribal residents, who were worried that the animals would be relocated. ‘Forest is our habitat’ and ‘Let us (elephants) live’ were the quotes on the posters.
