MC Mary Kom Man­isha Moun So­nia L Sarita Devi Sim­ran­jit Kaur Lovlina Bor­go­hain Saweety Boora Bhagya­bati Kachari Seema Poo­nia In­dia has won 28 medals (8-6-14) in the cham­pi­onship. Third be­hind Rus­sia’s 53 (2110-22) and China’s 40 (13-11-16).

In the pre­vi­ous edi­tion in 2016, In­dia man­aged only one medal. So­nia Lather grabbed sil­ver in the feather­weight cat­e­gory. The 2006 edi­tion re­mains In­dia’s best. They topped the ta­ble with 4 gold, 1 sil­ver and 3 bronze medals.
