BEYERDYNAMIC AMIRON WIRELESS
Most audiophiles scoff at the mention of wireless equipment but Beyerdynamic hopes to change that outlook with the Amiron Wireless headphones. They use proprietary Tesla transducers with an impedance of 32 Ohm. The closed back cans have an aluminium frame with a soft headband made from Alcantara said to provide balanced contact pressure and a comfortable fit. The touchpad on the earcups can control music playback and volume. It comes with Bluetooth 4.2, AAC, aptX, aptX HD wireless codecs and aptX LL. With a frequency response of 5Mhz40,000Hz, it is fully compatible with Hi-Res audio having a harmonic distortion of less than 0.05% at
500Hz. After installing the Make It Yours app on Android or iOS, an individual hearing profile is created based on a test after which the sound from the headphones is matched with hearing ability to ensure the best experience. It also keeps track of daily listening habits and volume levels.
The pricing limits Amiron to serious users with a need for serious performance.
