This router means business
ith no dearth of router options, the DIR-882 in D-Link’s Exo range is positioned rather well. It may not look as fancy as its competition but this router means serious business.
The simple design boasts status LED indicators on the top, four external antennas, four Gigabit LAN ports and one Gigabit WAN. There’s a USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 port as well to connect a printer or share files or stream multimedia content over the network.
The DIR-882 is a dual-band router that supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and has a combined throughput speed of 2533Mbps
(800+1733) respectively. Additionally, it is powered by a dual-core processor and supports MU-MIMO that helps with the bandwidth and distributes data efficiently without compromising the speed among multiple connected devices.
The web interface is basic, but it brings support for features like QoS, guest network, VPN support and more. There’s advanced AC Smartbeam, which is a kind of a fancy term for beamforming and helps improve the wireless range.
If a simple, no non-sense router is what you seek, D-Link
DIR-882 is the one you should go for.
