Taking cues from the success of the Max Pro M1, Asus has expanded its portfolio with two more smartphones namely the Max M1 and Lite L1. This price bracket is filled with quad-core processor devices but the Asus duo is an outlier of sorts given the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset housed within. They are running ZenUI 5.0 based on Android Oreo which has been rid of all but 14 preloaded apps to keep bloatware to a minimum. Both share the 5.45” HD+ IPS display with 800:1 contrast ratio and 13MP rear camera. What they differ on is the higher end Max M1 having 3GB RAM,

32GB storage, 4000mAh battery, 8MP front camera while the Lite L1 makes do with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage,

3000mAh battery, and 5MP front camera. If extra space is required, then the free 100GB Google Drive storage will come as a boon.

T3 Says: Although the Snapdragon 430 is ageing, it should ideally suffice for basic tasks at the phones’ current resolution.
