IMTIAZ ALAM

Tehelka - - BOOKS - ALAM

I’d recommend Pind Balluchi restaurant in Connaught Place. It serves deliciously simple north Indian fare. I like the fact that the chefs don’t try to emulate the slightly pretentious fine-dining, haute-cuisine places that have been springing up all over Delhi. You come for tandoors and curries and that’s what you get, with great value for money too. The ambience is soothing and tasteful. You’ll find beautiful antique Indian paintings on the wall, and authentic glassware and silverware on the tables. All that plus great service too.
