2 BPO employees held for abducting minor boy
Two BPO employees were arrested by the South Delhi police in connection with a kidnapping- cum- ransom case of a two- and- a- halfyear- old child.
The accused demanded ` 15 lakhs from his father, who is a lower rank official in the Army but were arrested within three hours after the victim’s family approached the police.
A senior police official said on condition of anonymity that the accused were identified as Krishan Sharma and Shahid, alias Rahul.
They were held at Inderpuri area following a tip- off.

He made a ransom call to his father at around 5 pm and demanded ` 15 lakhs for his release. The amount was yet to be negotiated. Meanwhile, the victim’s father approached the police and lodged an FIR of kidnapping of his child,” said the police.
The senior police official said that a team of elite police officials under the supervision of inspector Ishwar Singh was formed to crack the case. They took the help of technical surveillance and found that the kidnappers could be at Inderpuri area.
“Immediately, a team was sent there and raids were conducted following tip- off. The duo accused were held by the police and the child was rescued,” said the police official.
The official further said that attempts are being made to identify the autorickshaw driver to make him a witness in the incident.
