3 students held for stabbing boy

Four persons, including a 25- year- old youth and three Class 11 students, were arrested by the South Delhi police for allegedly stabbing a 17- year- old boy, who is a classmate of the three accused. He was stabbed after he mocked one of them for his improper speech. The incident happened in Defence Colony area of South Delhi.

“The victim student mocked one of them after which they decided to teach him a lesson. They called on Ajay, who is the brother of one of accused, to beat him up. The victim was brutally beaten up and stabbed in his thigh,” said the police. He was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre and was discharged after treatment. The police was called by the family members of the victim. The police took the statement of the victim student after which an FIR under Sections 341 ( wrongful restraint), 323 ( voluntaril­y causing hurt), 34 ( common intention) of Indian Penal Code ( IPC) was lodged and all the four were arrested by police on January 24.

“The juvenile students were sent to a child observatio­n home while the fourth one, identified as Ajay, was sent to fourteen days judicial custody by a city court,” said the police official. The police have recovered the knife used in the commission of the crime. The four have reportedly confessed to their crime during the police interrogat­ion.
