Don’t feel bad, learn to let go

-

I’m a 26- year- old girl, working at an IT firm in Hyderabad. Earlier I’ve worked in the BPO sector and have been appreciated for my work. But things have drastically changed in the last one year after I fell in love with a colleague. Due to practical reasons, he told me that we cannot have a future. I accepted it then, but have been disturbed after that. I don’t want to get into another relationship with any other man. In this one year, I’ve gone through a hyperemotional behaviour, lack of focus towards family, selfblame and depression. Now, my parents are also looking for a good guy for me. I feel suffocated and depressed. What can I do?

QSneha A. I am so sorry about the way you feel. It must be difficult to understand and go through and deal with everything. I know that it is too much of me to ask, but let go! Let go of everything and everyone who is making you feel like this.

About the marriage stress — it will work out. You don’t have to stress about it. Work is stressful sometimes but enjoy it. Make new friends. Change the way you think and feel about these various things that are going on in your life. Start with 15- min-

utes a day. It’s okay to feel the things you feel. Those will make you wise, strong, and a mature and sensitive young woman. You seem responsible and intelligent. I suggest you spend your mornings writing good things about yourself and how everything that’s happening in your life makes you who you are. Be optimistic. All the best.
