FIR registered against Raja Bhaiyya:

- AMITA VERMA

The Kunda violence took an unexpected turn on Sunday evening when Parveen Azad, wife of slain DSP Zia- ul- Haq, named five persons, four of whom are Raja Bhaiyya’s associates, for the brutal murder of her husband on Saturday night.

The slain DSP’s wife handed over a written complaint to ADG Arun Kumar naming Gulshan Yadav, chairman Kunda Nagar Palika, Hari Om Srivastava ( Raja Bhaiyya’s manager), Guddu Singh ( Raja Bhaiyya’s driver) and Rohit Singh ( Raja Bhaiyya’s aide) as responsible for her husband’s murder. She said she would not claim her husband’s body unless the FIR against the persons she had named was lodged. Following this, a case has been registered against Raja Bhaiyya.

Ms Parveen Azad said that her husband Zia- ul Haq, 32, had been receiving threats from local politicians who had warned him with dire consequences if he did not toe their line.

The slain officer’s uncle Chunnu Khan directly blamed the state government for his nephew’s murder.

“Others may not be very vocal but I am not afraid. Sarkar poori tarah se zimmedar hai iss qatl ke liye,” he said.

The slain pradhan, Nanhe Yadav’s family, on the other hand, blamed the police for not providing adequate security to Nanhe Yadav even though he had informed them of the threat to his life.

Meanwhile, the bodies of Nanhe Yadav and his brother Suresh Yadav were cremated on the outskirts of the village amidst tight police security.
