‘ I’m passionate about make- up’

- REENU BAHL

Sometimes one has to cope with their ( actors) mood swings but mostly they are very cooperative and supportive

If some day you could not take your eyes off Chitrangada Singh, then know it’s make- up artist Mehak Oberoi, 25, behind her stunning look. The youngest celebrity make- up artist, Mehak has worked her magical hands on bevy of Bollywood actresses including Anushka Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Isha Gupta, Tisca Chopra and many more.

Make- up was always a passion for Mehak, who knew what she wanted to do in life. “After completing my schooling, I preferred a creative make- up course rather than going for a usual graduation degree. Since childhood I had deep interest in make- up. I believed in my dreams, so here I am today,” she says. And Bollywood happened just by chance. “Once Chitrangada Singh was looking for a make- up artist, my mentor Renuka Pillai suggested my name. Although it was an unpaid assignment, I excitedly flew to Mumbai and gave my best. She loved my work and after that I never looked back,” she shares.

By now Mehak had already worked with some big names and it was not easy to adjust to their mood changes. “Sometimes one has to cope with their mood swings but mostly they are cooperative and supportive,” she says.

Focusing on her plans, Mehak is looking to make a strong base in Bollywood. “It is only Bollywood on my mind. For now I am concentrating on my existing Bollywood and commercial projects,” she ends.
