‘ I’m not part of Bade Acchhe...’

There are rumours doing the rounds in the industry that Anchal Munjal, of Parvarvarrish fame, is playing the grown- up version of Pihu in Balaji Telefilm’s hit show Bade Acchhe Lagte Hai . The actress, however, dismisses such talks saying she is not a part of the show. She says, “Only two days ago, I got a call from a person asking about the show and I was shocked. I have not started shooting and nothing is confirmed yet. The Balaji team had approached me a while ago for auditions. After the auditions, I was told that they will discuss it with Ekta Kapoor and get back to me. I think Ekta approved me and then some more discussions happened, but nothing concrete has been decided yet.”

But if our sources at the channel are to be believed, Anchal’s version may be far from the truth. “It’s been a while since Anchal started shooting for the show and she is very excited about playing Pihu’s role,” a source said. It seems the actress has been asked by the production team to keep the details under wraps.

Meanwhile Anchal maintains her version of the story. “I watch the show and I find Pihu’s character quite interesting. The grown- up version would be even more interesting and hence a challenge to play it,” she says.

While her inclusion in BLAH remains ambiguous, the actress continues to get several offers for other shows. “I keep receiving offers for television shows but I am still deliberating over them. I like to select my shows carefully. Even if I were offered Bigg Boss 8, I would not accept as I feel I am too young to be a part of a show like that, with real fights being shown to a national audience. I also get film offers but the concepts haven’t excited me so far and most of the roles are cameos which I am not inter-ested in, ”she says.
