APCM promises 10L jobs by 2020

PEPSICO’S LARGEST PLANT IN AP

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrabab­u Naidu said that his government aims to provide 10 lakh jobs by 2020 and promised to provide necessary infrastruc­ture to set up industries to generate employment opportunit­ies.

Speaking on the sidelines of the inaugurati­on of Pep si Co at Sri City SEZ at Chittoor on Friday, he said that they have taken steps to provide about 10 lakh acres of land so as to enable setting up industries and made it clear that he would not compromise on law and order.

Reiteratin­g that entreprene­urs are expressing fear to set up industries in Kadapa district he said that the government would invite investment­s and give necessary permission­s within 21 days to set up industries and provide good atmosphere for investment­s. Talking about 4G services, he said it will be within reach of people by June in all districts.

“The government has taken steps to develop the Andhra Pradesh industrial­ly and the sea coast is helpful to set up industries in the state,” Mr Naidu said.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also inaugurate­d the Japanese Help Desk which is a one- stopadmini­stration and media centre.

Later, he also inaugurate­d a 11 operationa­l units which were set up with an investment of ` 980 crore and performed groundbrea­king ceremony for 11 more units that will be set up with an investment of ` 1,450 crore.

Among the dignitarie­s present at the event were AP forest minister Bo jja Gopala Krishna Reddy, minister for municipal administra­tion P. Narayana, Pep si Co CEO Indra Nooyi, consul general of Japan in Chennai, Seiji Baba, consul general of Malaysia in Chennai Chitra Devi Ramaiah, district MLA Satya veedu Y. Aditaya, Sri City’s chairman Mr Srini raju, and its MD Ravindra Sannareddy.
