The CBI is all set to examine certain state- level politicians, including a former MLA, again in connection with its investigations into the murder case of Ranvir Sena supremo Bramheshwar Singh, alias Mukhiya.

Sources said, “Decision to re- examine certain local politicians have been taken after analysing “call detail records of 250 persons in connection with the case”. The agency has so far examined 82 persons in connection with the tered by the Bihar police. Besides, statements of the family members of Mukhiya have also been recorded by the agency.

“The state police had also filed a chargesheet against six persons in Ranvir Sena chief murder case. The agency sleuths scrutinised the probe report filed by the state police pertaining to the case,” sources said.

Earlier, even after recommendations by the Bihar government for a CBI probe into the killing, the agency could not register a case due to lack of adequate number of investigators.
